Amanda Taylor

Amanda has been dancing since the age of 2 years old. She started dancing at Ballet Arts in Decatur Illinois then Millikin university recreational dance department in her early years. At the age of 10 she found her dance home with Debbies Dance Studio in Decatur. While she attended Debbies Dance Studio until her senior year of high school she attended multiple Dance conventions including; Tremaine, New York on the Road, Dupree, Etc. She has been taught by many world-renowned dancers at said conventions, as well as ones she has attended while in the teaching role. In high school Amanda was the captain of her cheer team and was chosen to be a UCA All-Star cheerleader. Also, while in High school, Amanda was in Thespians as well as show choir and multiple school musicals. Amanda went on to attend Millikin University where she attained her Bachelor of Arts Degree with a Major in Human Services and a minor in Dance. Amanda also participated in cheerleading at the college level. During the summer months Amanda would attend dance intensives with Springfield Ballet Company as well as dance with the Richland Ballet Company where she performed in “The Nutcracker”, “Sleeping Beauty” as well as other ballets. She trained and experienced many auditions throughout college including her favorite experience with Walt Disney World. After college Amanda moved to Indianapolis where she attended the Indianapolis Colts Cheerleaders training camp and auditioned for the Indianapolis Colts Cheerleaders. Unfortunately, her time was cut short in Indianapolis and she had to move back to Decatur where she taught at Debbies Dance Studio once again. While living in Illinois Amanda was given the awesome opportunity to coach/choreograph for the St. Teresa high school cheerleaders. In 2021 Amanda, her husband, and 2 children moved to Alabama where she is a full-time realtor with Remax of Orange Beach. Her 2 children (Jeslyn and Asher) attend Central Christian where Amanda was also asked to take on the role of elementary cheer coach not long after moving there. Amanda loves children and feels dance builds character as well as confidence and could not imagine her life without dance in it and is truly blessed that her daughter carries on that same belief!!!!!
