Heather Ford has been dedicated to the art of dance since the age of six. She began her training at the Tolbert Yilmaz School of Dance in Atlanta, GA. Heather went on to study at Northside School of the Arts, North Carolina School of the Arts and many other prestigious programs. While working as a professional dancer, Heather toured internationally with Atlanta Showbiz, the Harrison Dance Company, Alvin Ailey Certificate Program and the Phoenix Dance Project.
At the age of 26, Heather was asked to become the director of The Roswell Dance Theatre, a competition dance team based out of the Tolbert Yilmaz School of Dance. She started the company with only ten dancers and over the next two years directed its growth to include 70 dancers and four companies! Heather has been nationally recognized for her choreography and influential teaching methods. With abundant creativity and a relentless vision for style, Heather has shared her passion for dance with hundreds of students in dozens of companies throughout the eastern U.S. for more than twenty years. Heather has received several Choreography and Entertainment Awards at regional and national dance competitions. Additionally, many of her dancers have gone on to dance with well known companies. Most recently she moved from Amherst, Ohio where she worked with Midwest Ballet instructing their competition team
